I went with the girls on Friday on their last Country Sunshine big field trip to the Morehead Planetarium in Chapel Hill. We'd been up there last September to see the Magic Tree House movie, so this was the girls' second time seeing the show. While they were excited about going with their friends, Lily was more than a little nervous. She remembered being scared last year, so when the lights went out in the theater, she sat on my lap almost in tears the entire movie. When it was over, she told me that it wasn't as scary as she remembered and wasn't that bad after all.
After the movie, we had a class picnic in McCorkle Place on the hottest day of the year. Everyone survived.
This picture is of Lily and her "boyfriend" Ollie. He recently turned six, but I was surprised to see him willingly holding her hand.
